More and more, you’re seeing companies tacitly stop scheduling meetings (remote or onsite) on Mondays or Fridays, concentrating these meetings on Tuesdays through Thursdays instead. The upshot is that a new cadence develops, where Monday becomes a day for doing work that requires extended focus, Friday becomes an effective half day, and Sunday afternoons become de facto planning days for the week ahead. I work as a tech consultant, and I’ve seen this pattern occur often enough with clients that I’m beginning to this it’s becoming the new normal with respect to how we structure our work time.
