Yes, it will evolve (at warp speed), but quit waiting for some fully developed metaverse to be universally accepted by everyone with a device.

It’s here today.

There are two substantial improvements that are still coming and not here yet.

1. the biological/bit fusion that will allow access without a device, and

2. the introduction of the physical environment that will allow a user to feel the wind, the bumping ski run, and the glow of the fire at the apres-ski get-together at the end of the day.

I would also like to hear a discussion about possible scenarios for society (ripple effects) as this continues to develop in the next 10 years. It could lead to a major portion of the younger generation doped upon an alternative universe and dropped out. It certainly will lead to the disruption of several industries (travel and education, for example, two that are already going through once in a millennium disruption without this). The Metaverse may be the core of Industry 5.0.
