					<description><![CDATA[One system being tested in the UK is overhead tramline charging wires with hook ups just like the trams of old. These will run along motorway lanes and be used for heavy trucks. The vehicles will travel under their own battery power to the motorways and then hook up to the overhead wire for the long distance part of the journey.
Its got to be far less disruptive than digging up tarmac.
